Keith Osborne I have two neighbors that I know of that have just installed photovoltaic solar power in their homes. I've heard that the rebates alone make this a viable option.

I've always thought "if there's a way to use the sun's power to reduce dependency on the power co and save a few bucks why wouldn't I do it?"

ReNEW Grant Workshops

Orange County Neighborhood Services

The ReNEW (Residents and Neighborhoods Empowered to Win) program is an initiative of Mayor Richard T. Crotty and the Board of County Commissioners to revitalize and beautify Orange County's neighborhoods. Grants are open to all neighborhood organizations and homeowners associations in unincorporated Orange County.  Grant money can be used for a variety enhancement projects. Examples of projects include landscaping, irrigation, entranceway signs, and wall repair.  ReNEW offers grants between $1,000 and $10,000.
